A quick post to say that I might not be able to post much for the next two weeks. Since the schoolroom doors/windows are being worked on, my desk and computer had to be moved. Well, I had to unplug everything to move it and I have no idea how to put it back together. I'm using Michael's right now to check my e-mail, etc. but won't be able to post any pictures. But I will be updating as I can.
The french door and window are in and they look great. I took lots of pictures! Tomorrow they will finish the window, put the bedroom window in and start framing out all the other windows. After that, we just need to put new siding up where the door/window went and it.will.be.done.
Happy Day!

Busy

~the living room furniture arrived and looks great.
~tomorrow work starts on the schoolroom with two sliding glass doors being replaced with a french door and a window. I have a feeling a lot of sawing and nailing will be going on. Also one last window will be replaced (this is the one for which I ordered the wrong size).
~Michael is now in Minneapolis/St. Paul for the RNC. He'll return at the end of the first week of September. Boo hoo. I miss him!
~I spent three days in the VA mountains with my sister who is visiting her daughter in OH. We had a great time and it was really relaxing.
~Last night was our final lesson of Holiness. It was an excellent study! Even though it was our last lesson, there is lots of application ahead for many years to come.
Things to come:
~Jessica's birthday is tomorrow; she'll be 22. I think we're going out to dinner but we haven't made any plans yet.
~Jared starts community college on Monday. He's also looking for a new job. (I'm glad I'm not 19 anymore.)
~Julianne is signed up for two classes and we'll be doing the rest of her schooing here. Pray for me as I start lesson plans!
I might not be psting much because the guys will be working where my computer is located and I need to move it. I'm not sure if I'll be able to hook it up or what. So.......I may be missing for a while.
I'll try to post the newest pictures soon!

Valuable Books

He's Back!

Hurrah! The Inspector Lynley Mysteries will be back for the 7th and last (boo hoo) time on Masterpiece this Sunday! I have seen all of the series and also read all the books by Elizabeth George.
If you are looking for some smart, sophisicated mysteries then check out her books. They are wonderful. Be sure to read them in order so you can really get to know Thomas Lynley and his partner in solving crimes, Barbara Havers, not to mention other ongoing characters. You will not regret the time spent reading these books!!

Home Makeover Update
First, some before pictures. The family room as it used to look.

Family room painted with new floors and old loveseat from living room. Then w/o furniture and our lovely camping chair and tray!

Here is my happy husband on his new reclining sofa:
Our new recliner:
Neat rug I found at Lowe's:
Uneven curtains, which I ended up taking back. I have green ones now but no pictures yet.
It's hard to see but the sofa has flecks on tan and green in it:
The downstairs bathroom. The faucets look gold in this picture but they are really brushed nickel. There's also a plate covering the socket now! :
The dining room after it was painted:

The living room furniture is scheduled to be delivered next Tuesday. More pictures then!
