Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig

I came back home Saturday night. Although it was hard to leave, it was a blessing to sleep in my own bed! Funny, how we get attached to our own things, isn't it?

It's only Wednesday and the week has already been busy. Monday morning I took Arwen to the vet for her shots. Thankfully Julianne went with me to control her in car; I don't think I would have been able to do it by myself. She slept the whole way home, though! Those shots must have tired her out. She is doing ok with her training. I know it will take a while and I need to be patient and consistent but some days........ugh! She can now sit (most of the time) and lay down (half of the time). My next goal is "stay". Pray for me!!

That night I went to a used curriculum sale but came home empty handed. It was fun anyway and I ran into an old friend that I handed seen in a while. Next week is the state homeschool convention and I don't think I'm going to attend. I only need three books for next year and they can easily be ordered online. I always like going to the used curriculum sale to look for books, especially in their Bible and religion section but I have so many books here that I've yet to read that I don't need anymore. I would be tempted to buy if I went! Julianne will be away that entire weekend at a creation conference with her youth group. It will be nice to stay home those days and get things accomplished around here. I have a long list all ready prepared!

Yesterday, I took Julianne to the dermatologist about her hives (which, of course, disappeared last week). Basically, unless she's having a break out they can't do much. Oh well! Later that afternoon, I took her to the orthodontist to get spacers put in between a few teeth. She has one tooth that is not cooperating so they want to put a brace back on it to see if they can straighten it. Thankfully, it will only be on for a few months. Poor Julianne! All this was done on her 15th birthday!!

My dad will be going to the pain specialist tomorrow morning so they can give him a shot to try to alleviate some of the pain he is having from shingles. Nothing the doctors have done so far has been able to take away that pain! Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Michael's brother and sister-in-law are coming down tomorrow to visit and to celebrate Michael's 50th birthday--and his brother's also since they are twins :-) Friday night we're going to Bonefish Grill with Matt and Jessica. We'll see Jared also but only as our server. I wish he were able to join so we could be all together. Saturday we're spending the day at Williamsburg and I'm praying it's not too hot or humid. Sunday they're coming to worship with us and they leave on Monday.

I will probably not be posting again until next week and I hope to have lots of pictures to share. Have a blessed week!
